Program Description

This class is designed to introduce students to competition and develop the physical, mental and emotional skills necessary to succeed. Classes are available three days a week. USFA membership and full fencing protective gear and electric equipment is required. Students must pass a test and become a member of FAN (Fencing Academy of Nevada) to be eligible for this class.

Monday and Wednesday 5:00pm - 6:20pm

Saturday: 12:00pm - 1:30pm

Pricing:

$210.00 For One Month, 3 Classes Per Week

Annual Registration Fee will be collected on the first class date.

The Academy features 14 strips, 8 of which are grounded, and the latest in electronic scoring equipment. The Academy focuses on the sportsmanship, respect, and traditions of fencing. With the belief that it is the process by which a person becomes a fencer that is important, they offer a supportive training program that focuses on the fencer as an individual.

Fencing at the Academy is under the direction of Head Coach, Maitra Yves Auriol, 4 - time U.S. Olympic team coach, 17-year head coach at University of Notre Dame, NCAA Coach of the Year, and 2007 USFA Hall of Fame.
