Program Description

Private lessons generally start at age 7 and older, but sometimes younger students will start with a special curved-head flute. Flute lessons are offered in 30 minute, 45 minute, or 1 hour length sessions. Flute students will perform in Christmas and Spring recitals with many also performing in local music festivals and events.

The Las Vegas School of Dance & Music believes that private instruction is the best way for anyone to learn how to play an instrument. Private lessons allow students to learn the type of music they personally are most interested in. Teachers are able to focus 100% of their attention on that one student to ensure that things such as hand positioning, posture or understanding of a particular concept are correct. If a student has difficulty in one area, the teacher is able to work on it without hampering the progress of a class and alternatively if a student is excelling in one area, the teacher can move forward.

All music teachers have University training in the instruments they teach. Students level beginner through advanced are accepted. Studio location is convenient to access from both the Northwest and the Southwest.
