Program Description

Art Starts Here philosophy is to make sure the students feel good about creating.  There are no mistakes in art and your imagination means the sky's the limit.  They want you to enjoy yourself while you are learning the skills required for producing various art pieces. Instruction includes age appropriate art history about the artist whose style they introduce and technique for success with the project.

This class is open to students ages 11-15.  Explore sculpture, printing, acrylic painting and collage while building basic drawing skills with pastels and charcoal.  Art History is introduced with references to artists and artistic styles connectd to the media experience.
